Walker Evergreen Cemetery FAQ:
- “To be considered for Walker/Shingobee rates, a person must be a resident of the City of Walker or Shingobee Township, or must have been at one time such a resident who, in the discretion of the Cemetery Board, was a long-time resident who moved for health and/or family reasons.”
- Open/Closing. Only the city shall make all openings and closings of graves, and all interments, disinterment, and removals.
- A portion of the fees includes a deed to the cemetery lot, granting permission to be buried there. The City Clerk’s Office will record all deeds.
- No trees, man-made or man placed items will be allowed to be placed in the Cemetery by individual parties.
- The Cemetery Caretaker will be directed to post the entire Cemetery “No Hunting.”
- Up to three cremations per lot will be allowed or one body burial plus one cremation per lot will be allowed

Information on Monuments or Markers:
Before a monument, marker or footstones can be placed: a sketch showing all dimensions of the foundation, base, monument, markers or footstones must be mailed, faxed or emailed to the City of Walker for approval:
