Board, Commission, and Committee members are appointed by the Walker City Council. Members volunteer their time to provide advisory services to the City. Some groups also have duties defined in state law.

Airport Advisory Board
The Airport Advisory Board advises the City Council and staff on the construction, improvement, and maintenance and operation of the Walker Municipal Airport, and general activities affecting the community.
Cemetery Advisory Board
The Cemetery Board advises the City Council and staff on maintenance, operations, and policies of the Walker Evergreen Cemetery.
Library Advisory Board
The Library Advisory Board advises the Walker City Council and staff on maintenance, operations, and policies of the Walker Public Library.
Park Advisory Board
The Park Advisory Board advises the Walker City Council and staff on maintenance, operations, and policies of the Walker City Park.
Planning Commission/Board of Adjustments
The Planning Commission/Board of Adjustments hears requests, holds public hearings, and provides recommendations to the City Council on land use, planning, and zoning.
Public Works Committee
The Public Works Committee advises the Walker City Council and staff on maintenance, operations, and policies regarding public works throughout the entire City of Walker.
